Boardwalk and Pavilion:

#017 ? This circa 1920s postcard shows the first pavilion on the Fourth Avenue boardwalk. The boardwalk is wide and lined with benches for sun worshipers. Electric light poles made it safe and pleasant for evening strollers. The pavilion housed several concessions. Most of the boardwalk and a later version of this pavilion were destroyed in the northeastern storm in December 1992.
